My classmates and I made posters for Teacher Appreciation Week to show our teachers how much we appreciate them. Ms. Cacao and Ms. Hammond were the teachers I chose. Ms. Caco is our guidance counselor at Immaculate, thus I thought the theme I came up with for her poster was fitting. Ms. Hammond's poster is also fitting because she is the World Culture teacher. Doing this act I completed the core value of Compassion. Compassion is defined as a sympathetic consciousness for others shown in compassionate service. It was not only amazing for our teachers to recognize their value, but it was also a wonderful pleasure to create something for them!

I made time during the week to be able to provide outdated clothes to people who were in need. I went through my sister's and my clothes from Friday to Sunday to donate them to others in need. By doing this, I was able to fulfill all of the major principles of the Catholic Church, including compassion, respect for human dignity, transformation, solidarity with the poor, justice, and peace. I will always be appreciative that I have this opportunity.
My mother and father grant me all of my wishes. I can't express enough how glad I am to have them in my life. In order to express my gratitude to them, I decided to clean my home. I should do it more regularly, but I don't. I occasionally delegate the cleanup to them. But this time, I wanted to provide a hand. I demonstrated a key Felician value by doing this. I have exhibited Compassion, one of the Felician basic principles. An empathic consciousness toward others that is exhibited in compassionate service is what defines compassion. It was a great deed, especially in light of all my family does for me.
For the sophomore class, ICHS had a bake sale on March 24, 2023. It was quite successful thanks to Mr. Gleason, Emma Jones, Marli J. McKenzie, and Madsion McAlister! One of my favorite activities is giving back to the ICHS community because it builds relationships with other members of our sisterhood. I finished the Felican Core Value of Compassion by doing this. By displaying an understanding of the needs and situations of others with whom we share our world, we demonstrate a sympathetic knowledge of the "other." I'm excited to provide a hand once more because it was so fun to accomplish!
My sister has been struggling with math all year. Yet, my sister and I have maintained and routinely worked together to help her gain a better knowledge of her math. This morning, I guided her with her math assignment, which involved inequalities. In doing so, I fulfilled the Felcian Core Value of Solidarity with the Poor. By advocacy and action, we may work in solidarity with the poor to guarantee that the needs of the poor and vulnerable are fulfilled. It's always a pleasure to help my sister, and I'm happy to say that every time I explain math to her, she gains a greater understanding.
It was time to stop assisting Coach Sarah with her softball clinic since softball season was approaching. That was a wonderful time, and I'm glad I got to do it with Jaylene, one of my teammates. We organized nets, cleaned up after etc. The Felican Core Principles of Compassion were accomplished throughout this extremely enjoyable experience. Helping others around us is made possible by compassion. In this instance, I think I did.
Immaculate Conception High School allows us to take action on In-service days. The in-service day is a way to spread kindness and care for those around us. With that being said this Inservice Day I took out the time to sit and talk to my grandma and help her understand that her work and all that she does for us never goes unnoticed. My grandma is a very remarkable woman. With all the loss that goes on throughout her life, she remained strong and built resilience. These qualities of my grandmother are why I look up to her. She is someone I hope to become. Simply talking to her about how much I appreciate her was something that made her day and made mine. I achieved a Felician Core Value by doing this: “Joy.” We all have an innate sense of joy and gladness that is independent of our circumstances, moods, feelings, or social standing. Because we continue to live with God, this delight never fades and comes from inside us.
Throughout the week, I took time to be able to donate old clothes to people who are in need. From Friday to Sunday I was going through my sister's and I clothes to put in the bin in order to get to those in need. Doing this I completed all felican-core values such as compassionate, respect human dignity, transformation, solidarity with the poor, and justice and peace. I am forever grateful that I am allowed to do so.
I genuinely enjoy assisting those in need, so I was thrilled to hear that Challenge U Softball provided their students with the opportunity to assist girls in need of softball equipment. Softball is very important to me, and I can't imagine my life without it. Giving equipment to those who want to play this sport and achieve their dreams is truly a blessing. By doing so, you and others achieve the core value of Soldtairy with the Poor. It is to work and collaborate to ensure that the poor and vulnerable's needs are met through advocacy and action.
It's a great chance to finish volunteering with Club Days at ICHS! With that said, becoming a part of Mr. Wada's club enables us to support the ICHS community. I took time out of my club day with Emma Jones, Alex Theodoracopulous, and myself to assist Mr. Wada in unpacking the new clocks for our school. The new clocks are a wonderful addition to our classroom because they are a little more accurate. We completed the Felician Core Value of Transformation by performing this act of service. Transformation is when we support the transformative process, which promotes an open heart and mind and results in the ongoing development of the individual and the ministry.
