My favorite aspect of attending ICHS is how we can help give back to those around us, including our school.Ms.Connor needed assistance with the vendors attending ICHS on December 1st. So Ava Muniz, Ryann Burke, Fiona Davis, Natalie Gelin, Mary-Kate Kajiwara, and I took time out of our schedules to assist her. We completed the core value of Soldtairy with the Poor by doing so. We labor and collaborate to ensure that the needs of the poor and vulnerable are met through advocacy and action.

Once again, Coach Sarah Piening, head coach of the Immaculate Conception High School softball team, held a pitchers and catchers clinic. She needed volunteers, so I saw it as an excellent opportunity to assist Coach Sarah, who has done so much for me. It was also a fantastic opportunity to give back to the sport I adore. During the clicnic I helped her set up, and made sure everything that need to be set up was done. It was so fun to be apart of and was more enjoyable with my teamate, and friend Jaylene! By helping Coach Sarah we completed the Felican Core Value of compassion.

I turned out to be a great experience and a great clinic! By doing this service, I had completed the Felican core value of Compassion. We are meant to offer this compassion to others because God offers it to us, and allows us to offer it to others.
I truly enjoy helping my family no matter what the circumstances may be. I especially enjoy helping my kid sister, Nina. Recently she has been having difficulty in math. When I was her age I had trouble with the same subject. So, it was great being able to help, when I know how hard it is. By doing this service, I had completed the core value of Compassion.
Coach Sarah Piening, the head coach of Immaculate Conception High School’s Softball team, had a clinic that was free for the girls around the community. She needed volunteers and I saw it as a great opportunity to give back to my sport which has done so much for me. So, Samantha Bosques, Gabrielle Higgins, Lalia Henson, Olivia Rotneer, and I did our best and took the time to help Coach Sarah have a successful camp. We “shagged” balls, threw “soft-toss” to the younger girls, and played catch with a few of them. Not only were young girls gaining knowledge on how to get better, but I also was listening to the informative coaches that also attended the camp. By doing this service, the girls and I had completed the core value of Compassion. We are meant to offer this compassion to others because God offers it to us, and allows us to offer it to others.
ICHS had its annual service day. Throughout this service day, a portion of the sophomore class went to help at Felician's Exceptional School. My peers and I helped the students of the Felician Exceptional 18-21 program. My friend, Emma Albericci, and I met amazing students there named Brain and Dana. The two students were funny and made my day. We went to work with them where we helped them clean the tables at Felician University. Before this, we also colored Halloween- themed coloring pages, and had a great time trying to know and meet the students there. At the end of the service the students of the Exceptional school made us braclets and goodie bags. I can assure you that ever since that day I haven't taken that braclet off. Doing this we completed the Felician-core-value of Transformation. Transformation is the process that encourages an open-minded heart and mind, leading to continuous improvement of person and ministry. Out of all the services I did this is definitely one of my favorite ones. I hope to go back to Felician's Exceptional School and do more good.
As a softball player, you meet tons of new people. Whether they’re local or very far it’s such a small world. I have taken an opportunity to join a team called the NJ Elite Lady Pirates. These girls and coaches are the best people I have ever met. These girls understand what it means to give back to our community. So during the weekend, we went out of our way to do some good and do some community service. Our field, Westside Park, contains loads of garbage around the area. So, we decided to do some cleaning up for us and the younger teams. By doing this service, the girls and I had completed the core value of Compassion. Completing the Felician core value of compassion means that you are showing an empathetic consciousness of others in expressed caring service.
With school starting up again, it was a fantastic opportunity to help those around us. For starters, Samantha Bosques, and I went out of our way to create a “Blue Wolf Survival Kit” for incoming freshmen on the softball team. This “survival kit” contained pencils, softball stress balls, gum, candies, bracelets, personalized note, etc. Doing this we brought a smile to the incoming freshmen’s faces and our own. Completing this activity we completed the value Transformation. Transformation is the process that encourages an open-minded heart and mind, leading to continuous improvement of person and ministry. I feel that as a person I am a receiver and maybe it was time for me to start giving to those around me. Now, these new freshmen are a part of the ICHS community, and family. So, I want them to feel welcome as they start a new chapter in their lives.
On the dog days of summer, some of the softball players from Immaculate Conception High School went down to do some community service. Gabrielle Higgins, Samantha Bosques, Lalia Henson, and I went to the Community Food Bank of NJ. When we went down there we sorted pasta bags for the people who needed them the most. Looking around the warehouse it gave statistics on how many people don’t have food regularly. It indeed was an eye-opener to see how grateful we are. By doing this service, the girls and I had completed the core value of Compassion. We are meant to offer this compassion to others because God offers it to us.
From May 18, 2022, to May 19, 2022, a couple of my friends and I took out time and dedication to make sure that the seniors had a very memorable senior night. From creating their baskets to creating “We <3 our Seniors” on the fence there was a lot of planning. By doing this we completed the Felician Core Value of compassion. God is always extending compassion toward us, loving us through the rights and wrongs of our journey. We, in turn, are meant to offer this compassion to others. We love our seniors and are very grateful for meeting them and having them in our lives. We look up to them and wish them the best of luck in their future.
