Recently Immaculate Conception had a Sock Drive. I had donated a couple pairs of socks to the drive because I could never imagine what those people are going through. We truly take advantage of what we have. I didn't really understand the meaning of the drive until Mrs.Skalarski went into dept during religion. She explained to us how we wanted the Chick-fa-lay prize, but these people wanted socks. It never occurred to me that people didn't have the little things before.

My family and I went on a walk for breast cancer awareness to support my aunt. To me, this was much more than community service. My aunt Jessie is one of the most loving, caring, and strongest people I have ever met. I'm so happy that she knows she is not alone in this battle. Throughout this walk, I have realized not to take the little things for granted because getting this type of news is life-changing. I was happy to not only support my aunt but the other individuals who have to go through this fight with their loved ones.
When we had a service day at IC, I had a great time! Mrs.Cutrona's mom runs the pantry where we sort cans, cereal, cleaning supplies, etc. We got a lot of work done when we're there and had a great time. At the end of the service, Mrs.Cutrona's mom set up candy and got us pizza after a hard day's work.
Once again I participated in sorting clothes, cleaning supplies, bed sheets, etc. However, it was better than the first time because we told more of our friends. They showed up and got to work. It was great and I can't wait to do more work soon!
Thanks to Thomas Jefferson Middle School, we got an opportunity to help out! I had an amazing time with my teammates. We sorted clothes that were donated from the clothing drive. I cannot wait to do it again!
Due to Hurricane Ida, our community was greatly affected. Thomas Jefferson middle school had an event where we could give back to people who were greatly affected by the hurricane. So, my teammates and I did what we could do to help. It felt great giving back to our community.
